In the evening light, the Aligre lounge is enveloped in a warm and cosy atmosphere, lit by the soft glow of candlelight. This intimate, elegantly decorated lounge offers a privileged setting for a dinner for two at a private table where delicate dishes are served one after the other. More than 70 carefully selected wines will enhance the meal. In this refined atmosphere, with classical music playing in the background, time slows down, giving way to pleasant conversation and the pleasure of sharing a remarkable and unforgettable gourmet dinner.

a journey of excellence

Carole Pagès, head chef, joined Château de La Rivière in September 2024. She is passionate about continuing her journey with us, delighting our guests with flavours and creative textures that combine to create bold and refined combinations. Her career has been marked by her exceptional mastery of cooking and pastry making, as well as Viennese pastries, chocolate, ice cream and other delicacies.

You can enjoy her dishes from Wednesday to Sunday. One weekend per month, Carole's gourmet cuisine is replaced by traditional home cooking.

L'aspect le plus remarquable réside dans l'offre gastronomique de la table d'hôte. Les propriétaires de ce lieu ont trouvé une perle en la personne de Carole Pagès qui propose avec une grande générosité une expérience gustative faite de touches exotiques qui viennent sublimer les produits de saison en partie issus de la cueillette de saison.

Bravo to the cook

(…) The dinner was delicious! The unique thing about it is that you don't find out what you're eating until the end! (Don't worry: you are asked in advance about any allergies or dislikes). The dishes are seasonal and very well prepared. Wonderful discoveries, well done to the chef! Breakfast is also in keeping with the location: everything is homemade, including the pastries, bread, yoghurts, seasonal fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. The site is stunning and the guided tour by the owner is enriching. A timeless stopover or break!

An unforgettable moment in an incredible setting. Chef Carole knows how to strike the right note with every dish. Everything is homemade. While waiting for the gourmet restaurant to open, you have to stay overnight to enjoy the culinary creativity, and the rooms are on a par with the food and hospitality.

Please note that dinners are served from Wednesday to Sunday and must be booked at least 72 hours in advance when booking a bed and breakfast stay. The adult menu is €75 and the children's menu is €35.

From 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Aligre lounge, a continental breakfast is available, including: unlimited hot drinks, homemade pastries, baguette, freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juice, jam, honey and homemade spreads, homemade apple compote, freshly prepared fruit salad, homemade yoghurts, cereals, homemade granola and an assortment of bread, cheese and ham.
