A guest room for prestigious guests

The King's Room at Château de la Rivière is steeped in history. Legend has it that Louis XIV stayed there. More recently, it was a favourite haunt of French cinema figures such as Michel Audiard, who is said to have found inspiration there for his famous dialogues. Completely restored, this room has regained its former glory while incorporating modern luxury. The furniture and décor, based on historical research, combine period aesthetics with contemporary comfort. We invite you to indulge in a unique stay in this prestigious setting, for a timeless interlude.

Endroit magnifique

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely incredible! I simply don't have a single complaint. We only stayed one night. If you're on the fence about booking, do it. You won't regret it. Alice was wonderful and very attentive.

Beautifully restored

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is a 17th-century château, beautifully restored by the owners to remain faithful to the spirit of the period. Everything has been tastefully done to recreate the atmosphere of yesteryear, while offering modern comforts. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you feel right at home. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Really amazing

I used to come here often when I was a child and teenager, and it's truly incredible. Seeing these new photos and videos, I must say that the new owner has done an amazing job.
If I'm ever in the area, I'd love to go back!

A dream come true

A bed and breakfast? No! A dream come true: you are transported back in time. The remarkable décor and tasteful furnishings transport you to the 17th century. You expect to hear the sound of a carriage, the neighing of horses, the barking of dogs waiting to take you on a tour of the wonderful grounds surrounding the magnificent castle. The table is in keeping with the setting. Once you've experienced it, you'll want to come back. An unforgettable night or weekend will leave you longing to return.

An excellent stay

We had an excellent stay at Édouard and Alice's castle. You can tell that they love having guests and that they don't do things by halves, whether it's cleanliness, meals, the surroundings or quantity. I highly recommend it if you want to immerse yourself in a castle and enjoy royal tranquillity.
